I would be lying to you if I told you if I told you I'm an expert in Spider-man. I've seen a limited amount of his movies and listened to my son talk about him, but that's about all. I plan on, one day, watching all of the current super hero movies, Avengers and all but I haven't gotten there yet so I ask that you bare with me as I write this using only the limited amount of knowledge I have acquired.
So, without further ado, here is what Spider-Man has to teach us (in no particular order)
1. Age does not dictate the amount of difference you can make. Spider-Man is why we can't say things like, "I'm just a 15 year old kid. What can I do?" because, in many versions, Spidy is still in high school, too!
2. With power comes responsibility. Even if you don't ask for the power. But this isn't just limited to "power" but also expands to "ability" or "talent". When we have the means to make a difference, to better the people, environment or the world, it is our responsibility to do so! If we don't, who will?
3. Sometimes we have to make sacrifices to do what is right. It's not easy but sometimes it's what we need to do.
4. If they truly love us, they will accept who we are and stand by our side, even when things are hard and chaotic. There should never be a choice between being with who you love and being who you are.
Now that I've shared some jewels of wisdom I've gained from Spider-Man, let us know what he has taught you! Leave them in the comments and then find out what others have said!
