What's for dinner: Oreo Fluff

This is one of my kids' favorite deserts, a must have for every holiday and has become the first thing asked for when invited to family events! I even joke that I'm not allowed to attend events with my family unless I bring the Oreo Fluff!

And I'm okay with that! Do you know why? It's pretty quick to make, it's easy and it's a great dish to bring my kids into the kitchen to help with! They love crushing the cookies! Even my 16 year old jumps at the chance to help make Oreo fluff because he wants to crush cookies!

So, here's the super simple recipe for this very kid friendly and enthusiastically approved sweet treat!

Ingredients:
1 package of regular double stuffed Oreo cookies (though for a more festive dish, feel free to experiment with mint Oreo's or any other flavor/colored options!)

About 12 oz. of whipped cream (this equates to about 1 1/2 regular sized tubs or 3/4 of the bigger tubs)

Directions:

* in the bottom of a large bowl, place 1/3 of the whipped cream

* Crush all but 4-5 cookies, setting the remaining cookies aside (I put half the cookies to be crushed into a gallon sized sandwich baggie, seal it tight and give it to my kids to crush.They love slamming it against the table, counters,punching it, smacking it and crumbling it in their own bag of half the cookies needed)

*Dump about half of the crushed cookies in with the whipped cream

*stir

*add half of the remaining whipped cream into the bowl

*dump the rest of the crushed cookies on top of the whipped cream.

* mix together

*add the remaining whipped cream

* stir again

* using your spoon, combine the fluff sticking on the side with the rest of the desert

* Take 2-3 of the uncrushed cookies, leaving only 2 whole

* Over the bowl of Oreo Fluff, crumple the cookies (except for the 2 you set aside), sprinkling crumbs over the top of the Oreo fluff

*In the center of the desert, place the two whole cookies, sticking up out of the fluff

*Enjoy!
